Display a number of upcoming or past events in grid format. You can manually select individual events or choose a tag to pull in any events that have been associated with it.
Example
Events added using filters
These events are being displayed because they include the tag, “hrievent”.
These events have been added manually. One is a regular event and the other is a ‘sticky’ event. Sticky events will always be displayed first, before those added as regular events or returned using the filters, regardless of how they’re ordered.
Type “/ehu event list” and click to select the “EHU Event List” block.
In the central content area, enter an (optional) title into “Title” field.
In the Block sidebar on the right-hand side, you can use the following filters:
Event Categories: The type of event e.g. Guest lecture, seminar etc.
Tag: Specific tag used to group collection of profiles eg “arts centre” or “hri event”
Number of Posts: Max number of posts to be displayed.
Order Events / Order By: You can order displayed events by Ascending or Descending Date or Title.
You can also enable or disable several filters that website users can use to filter events:
Category Filter
Audience Filter
Organiser Filter
Topic Filter
Start Date Filter
Events to Display: Select “Upcoming events”, “Old events” or “All events”.
Enable Pagination: Display Events across multiple numbered pages rather than in a single column.
You can also manually include specific events in the central content area, by clicking the “Specific Events – Add Row” button and searching for them in the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can use the “Sticky Events – Add Row” button to manually add specific events that will always be displayed first, before any other events.
Settings that should be ignored:
Fit container: This toggle stacks the displayed events in a single column and is rarely needed.
