Arriving at Edge Hill (living on-campus)

Fastrack students who have received a place in halls of residence should arrive on campus, complete stage two of enrolment and move into accommodation on Sunday 2 June. The outline schedule for your moving-in day is as follows (please note that this could be subject to change)

  • 13.30 – 14.00 – Arrival
  • 14.00 – 15.30 – Collect your keys and unicard and move into halls
  • 15.30 – 16.00 – Fastrack Induction talk
  • 16.00 – 16.30 – Halls Welcome / Fire Safety Talk
  • 16.30 – 17.00 – Campus tour
  • 17.00 – 18.00 – Tour of Ormskirk

Arriving by Car

On Sunday 2 June you may bring one car onto campus (no vans please) and you will be directed to a parking space. Please enter the campus via Entrance 1 as marked on the map in the back of your ‘Preparing to start your Fastrack programme’ booklet.

Arriving by Public Transport

The Edge Link bus runs from Ormskirk bus station to the University every 20 minutes. The Edge Link bus will drop you off near the main entrance to the University.

Completing the enrolment process

Having completed stage one of enrolment before you arrive on campus, you can also complete stage two when you move into your halls.

Accommodation Fees

There are a few things we will check before you can collect your keys. We will check that you have:

  1. E-signed your Licence Agreement
  2. Paid your £150 deposit
  3. Set up a payment plan for your accommodation fees or paid in full.

Moving in

You are advised to pack your belongings in crates and suitcases with wheels and to avoid packing large heavy boxes that you will find difficult to carry. Trollies will be available to assist you in moving your belongings to your room.

Your Induction Session

On your moving in day, you will also attend an induction session for the Fastrack programme and you are requested to book your place on this session in advance.

Halls Welcome / Fire Safety Talks

Once you have settled in and said goodbye to your friends and family, you must attend your compulsory Hall Welcome Talk. This talk will give you an introduction to your new home, campus facilities and the rules and regulations for students living on-campus. You will also be required to attend a compulsory fire safety talk, delivered by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
