How will I study?

This module uses an online approach to teaching and learning. Keynote remote Lectures feature in the module and are intended to be used as a platform for more interactive learning and provide a framework to be developed during the student’s own study time. Facilitated project supervision with allocated academic supervisor will also be offered.

What will I study?

The module will develop knowledge, skills and behaviours relating to specific areas of expertise that will include for example, national and international drivers for change, policy, culture, politics and power in health and social care and implications for clinical leaders working within the field of learning disability and/or autism.

Leadership approaches, stakeholder engagement, culture, service design, impact of influences on leadership, the role of wider networks, and audit/evaluation models to improve service provision, including how the voice of individuals can make an active contribution, will be considered.

How will I be assessed?

Within this module a range of formal and informal assessment procedures will be employed during the learning process to support you in achieving the learning outcomes and to improve your performance in the summative assessment.

The summative assessment for this module will be in one part:

A written report detailing a service improvement or audit linked to evidence-based practice identifying co-design, collaboration, implementation and evaluation of change.

Recommendations for practice improvement, sustainability and generalisation across provision should be considered.

5000 notional words.

On successful completion you will:
