Whilst studying social work at Edge Hill, you’ll be taught by a team of qualified and registered social workers, including approved mental health practitioners who will share their own experiences and pass on expertise about interventions, perspectives and settings.

At Edge Hill, prepare for life as a social worker with courses delivered alongside the Cheshire & Merseyside Social Work Teaching Partnership. Learn from a team of qualified and registered social workers and mental health practitioners. Listen to guest speakers who are practitioners, service users and carers, senior managers and policymakers.

Supporting you

When you become a student here, you’ll be allocated a Personal Tutor. They will be your main source of support in your academic department. They’ll be with you as you progress throughout your degree, supporting you in three areas: professional/career-related support, pastoral support and signposting you to information you need. But they aren’t just there when you need support. They are also there to celebrate your successes, help with planning your progress and much more.
