Postgraduate: Key information

Admissions and enrolment

Outstanding conditions?

If there are any outstanding conditions associated with your offer of a place (such as references), you’ll be able to enrol provisionally.

Please note, that you’re expected to meet outstanding conditions promptly and your place may be withdrawn if these aren’t satisfied.

Enrolling as a late applicant?

Please read your instructions from our Admissions Team and ensure you comply with any conditions or deadlines set.

If you’re unsure of your current status or have any queries about your ability to enrol, contact us by email: [email protected]

Your term dates

Teaching dates for the academic year 2025/26 haven’t been published yet. Check back here closer to your start date for more information.

You’ll also be able to view details of your induction sessions on your applicant website. Induction timetables are likely to be published in August 2025 and we’ll email you with details about this.

Your UniCard

Your Unicard is your student ID and will allow you to take books out of the library and act as your identification while on campus. Funds can also be loaded onto your Unicard to pay for printing, library fines and to spend in the catering outlets on campus where you can pay less for your items, earn points, loyalties and order ahead. You can load funds onto your Unicard via the ‘Upay’ app which can be found in the app store or Android Play Store.

You need to upload a passport-style photo for your Unicard and a copy of your identity document (ID) during stage one of the enrolment process. Once these are approved you will have completed stage one and a Unicard can be produced for you. If there are any issues with your photo or ID, the Enrolment Team will ask you to resubmit. Your Unicard will be handed out at a session designated by your academic department provided you have completed stage one of enrolment and received confirmation by email that it has been authorised by the Enrolment Team.

Wifi on campus

If you need wifi for your device when you are on-campus, you can connect to eduroam using your student number and password which will be provided to you at the point you receive your email for online enrolment.

Retail on campus

There is an onsite convenience store which sells food, drink and stationery. The online SU Shop is your go-to for all your University branded goods and clothing, including Edge Hill hoodies, lanyards and merchandise. Physical pop-up shops will appear throughout the year, so check the SU social media for updates.

In addition, the University is located close to Ormskirk town centre where you will find plenty of other shops and amenities.
