I knew at school that I wanted to be a graphic designer. My graphics and art lessons were the highlight of my week. Creative problem-solving and working with text and imagery to communicate messages just ignited something inside me. Icons for computer systems or pictograms for road signage – I was amazed that complex messages and information could be reduced to such simple imagery that communicated across language barriers.

If I could describe my time at Edge Hill in one word, it would be welcoming. The University has provided a space to grow as a person and as an artist while preparing me for the future.

I wanted to explore my passion for animation and improve my skill level, after working in the creative industries. I want to be able to use them in my own animation studio. Edge Hill makes getting students into careers after graduation a priority.

The highlight of my time at Edge Hill has been a trip to Portugal. It was fantastic to explore a new city in a creative way.

Studying at Edge Hill has given me the opportunity to use my skills as an animator to raise awareness of mental health issues, on campus and beyond.”
