UPAY is Changing
As the University Catering and Hospitality service moves to an external model operated by Gather and Gather, customers who use the Uniware / Upay account function will no longer be able to use this system as a form of payment from Friday 31st July 2026.
Customers are advised to spend the balance on their cards and to stop loading money onto the account that they will not likely spend prior to 31st July 2026.

Upay, Edge Hill’s cashless catering system for all students and staff. Upay allows you to pay for a range of catering in Food at Edge Hill managed outlets with your Unicard or your mobile.
Online service includes:
- Check balance
- Top up your account
- Edit payment preferences
- View statement
- Discounts and Promotions
- Check loyalty and points collected
- Block lost or stolen card
Registration
To register for Upay you will need:
- Edge Hill’s Affiliate ID number 104
- Your Student number or Unicard Cardholder ID number from the front of your Unicard
- Your credit/debit card
Register at https://www.upay.co.uk/app/
- Click the “REGISTER MY UPAY ACCOUNT” button
- Enter Edge Hill’s Affiliate ID number 104
- Click “Continue“
- Enter your Edge Hill Student number or your Unicard Cardholder ID number
- Click “Continue“
