Work with us
CSR brings together researchers, communities, voluntary and cultural organisations, practitioners, policymakers and other partners who share an interest in addressing social inequalities and creating positive social change.
We welcome conversations with organisations interested in developing research, evaluation, knowledge-exchange or community-engagement activity. You do not need to arrive with a fully developed research project. Some of our strongest collaborations have developed from an initial conversation, event or shared area of interest.
Ways to work with us
Partners can work with CSR in different ways, including:
- developing collaborative research and funding proposals;
- designing or undertaking research and evaluation;
- exploring creative and participatory approaches to evaluation;
- co-producing events, workshops and public engagement activities;
- contributing to Collaboration Cafés and other networking activities;
- connecting with academic expertise across Edge Hill University;
- developing new networks around shared social challenges;
- sharing practice, experience and community knowledge with researchers and students.
Our External Advisory Group and Visiting Professors and Fellows also connect CSR to a wide network of expertise across community, cultural, health, voluntary and higher-education organisations.
Our partnerships
We value long-term relationships rather than one-off engagement.
Our partners have included organisations such as the Bluecoat, 4Wings, RHS Bridgewater, Big Life Group and voluntary and community-sector organisations across the region.
4Wings
CSR’s relationship with migrant-led organisation 4Wings brings community expertise into conversations around migration, violence against women and girls, inequality and anti-racism. The partnership also creates opportunities for connections with researchers and other organisations working on intersecting social issues.
The Bluecoat
Our long-standing relationship with Liverpool’s Bluecoat has created opportunities for events and collaborative activity connecting academic research with creative practice, public policy and community engagement.
