The placement at Adlington Law is one that I found extremely fulfilling, enjoyable and developed my confidence when entering the world of work. I have been lucky enough to secure employment following the placement, which I cannot thank the Work-Related Learning team enough for.
Gaining highly skilled employment
Connor successfully completed a summer placement provided by the Work-Related Learning team at Edge Hill University. The short-term placement with Adlington Law, a family-run legal firm in Lancashire, helped Connor to gain valuable industry experience in the tole of Digital Media Assistant.
Connor effectively promoted the business by raising its profile through social media activity. Connor also developed the company website, applying knowledge gained from studies to ensure the website was optimised and performing well on search engines.
On completion of the placement, Connor secured full-time employment with Adlington Law, kick-starting his career within digital marketing and media.
Connor has been a breath of fresh air, he listens, learns quickly and is not afraid to share an opinion. He works well with our staff; we can leave him to get on without the need to be managed.
