My favourite thing about this degree was the support from the lecturers. Edge Hill helped me to find relevant and suitable work experience to help further my development and experiences.

I knew I wanted to be a social worker from a young age and I worked hard towards achieving my social work degree.

My 100 day placement in my degree was with an assessment team in Liverpool. Following this, I then applied for and was successful in securing a job with a Duty and Assessment team in Liverpool Children’s Services. I have now been a qualified social worker for 5 years.

I also completed the ASYE programme in 2022 and was enrolled onto the Practice Educator course in January 2024. I was successful in becoming Senior Social worker on my team in March 2025 and this is my current role. I would like to continue to develop within my Senior social worker role, with the view of applying for further management roles in the future.

My favourite thing about this degree was the support from the lecturers. Edge Hill helped me to find relevant and suitable work experience to help further my development and experiences.

I was diagnosed with Dyslexia in university, and they provided a lot of support, tools and equipment to help me reach my educational milestones. I developed my communication and learning techniques and gained skills from learning form tutors, lectures, guest speakers and my other classmates.

I really enjoyed my time at university, it was highly rated and I appreciated how accessible the staff were for support. I also loved the campus; there is so much on offer.
