Christopher Dent, Professor of Economics and International Business, is looking to bring together regional educators, business owners, local community groups and students, to find ways of reaching environmental development goals and promoting sustainability strategies through collaboration, cooperation and research, in conjunction with the University’s Institute for Social Responsibility.
As part of the year of celebrations, the band presented a wide range of pieces from their repertoire at Edge Hill University’s Hale Hall including classical overture, traditional brass band marches and well-loved tunes from stage and screen.
As part of Edge Hill University’s Festival of Ideas – a fortnight of talks, exhibitions, and performances – Cambridge-based author Lucy Bland was invited to introduce her book ‘Brown Babies: the stories of children born to black GIs and white woman in the Second World War’ and answer questions from attendees in an intimate setting.
