Edge Hill University ranked number one in the UK for Education

Edge Hill University is delighted to announce that it has been named the top-ranked university in the UK for education focused programmes in the Unifresher 2027 Rankings.

This significant recognition sees Edge Hill top the annual education rankings with an impressive 196 points. The University achieved a perfect 100% score for both teaching quality and academic support. Edge Hill also secured the highest student satisfaction rating of any education department in the rankings and received consistently strong scores across safety, social life and sustainability.

This achievement reaffirms the University’s standing as a leader in delivering renowned high quality education programmes, a role it has fulfilled for generations of students and graduates. Reflecting on Edge Hill’s performance, the rankings suggests that ‘If you are considering Edge Hill and have not already, the data makes a compelling case.’

Edge Hill’s Faculty of Education works creatively with others to enhance life chances. With 140 years of experience in the field of education and an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted for all age phases of its Initial Teacher Education, Edge Hill University is at the forefront of education preparing those who wish to work within education and across associated sectors.

The Unifresher Rankings assess 85-degree subjects across eight student-focused metrics, including teaching quality, student satisfaction, graduate earnings, academic support, safety, cost of living, social life and sustainability to provide a comprehensive picture of the actual student experience.
