Congratulations, you’ve received an offer to study with us and now you’ve been invited to one of our offer holder days. You might be wondering what they are and why they’re important – to put it in a few words, they’re your chance to experience a day in the life of an Edge Hill student. They are a great chance to learn more about student life at Edge Hill and find more information about your chosen subject area, while getting to know your way around our beautiful campus.
You’ll be invited to an offer holder day once you’ve received an offer to study with us. They’re exclusive for offer holders and they’re your chance to experience what your course will be like in a practical session.
Offer holder day highlights

Subject taster session
Your subject taster session will be the main part of your day and will help you picture yourself as a Edge Hill student. You’ll take part in a practical session which is designed to help you experience what studying on your course is really like. You’ll be able to meet lecturers and current students on your course and ask them anything you want to know – alongside meeting and making friends with other future students too.
Student experience fair
On the day, you’ll also have the chance to get to know the university better at our student experience fair. Meet expert support teams and ask any questions you have about the support on offer at Edge Hill. Our teams will be happy to help you with anything you want to know and this is a great chance to find out more about the range of support available to students and discuss any individual needs.

Campus and accommodation tours
Whether you’ve already seen our beautiful campus and you’re keen for another look, or it’s your first time visiting, you’re going to want to take a self-guided tour of our award-winning campus and accommodation. Get to know our students’ favourite spaces to relax, study and socialise as they take you around our picturesque grounds. If you’re planning to live in on-campus accommodation, you’ll be able to decide which of our award-winning halls are right for you!
Student’s Union
At your offer holder day you’ll be able to take a look around our brand-new SU building and find out more about all of the exciting clubs and societies you could be a part of as a student. Plus, they’re running a Q&A session at the events so you can ask the team any questions you might have.

What makes an offer holder day unique?

Unlike other University events, you’ll spend time directly with other students that have received an offer for the same course as you, so you can make friends with other applicants before you start your studies with us. Then when you come to start your course, your transition to university will feel a little easier knowing you’ll see some familiar faces.
You’ll also visit your subject department and get to know the tutors that bring the course to life. You’ll also see the facilities that will help to inform your learning, and our expert tutors will explain the kinds of facilities you can expect to make use of during your studies. During the event you can ask the questions that are most important to you to our lecturers and some current students.
Do I have to attend my offer holder day?
Offer holder days aren’t compulsory to attend, but we really recommend that you join us if you can. You’ll get a true insight into what you can expect while studying your course and they’ll really help you in deciding where to select as your Firm and Insurance choices.
We know you’ll love experiencing our warm and welcoming atmosphere for yourself too!

Can I bring someone with me?
You’re more than welcome to bring your supporters along with you, as we know how important they are in the decision making process. We host information talks specifically for your guests so they can understand how to support you throughout your university life. Supporter talks run at the same time as your subject taster session so that you can experience your presentation independently, just like you would when you start university. There’s also some extra talks running on the day on accommodation and student finance.
If you’ve received an offer from us, we’ll be sending you your invitation via email and/or post. So keep an eye out for those arriving. They’ll tell you where and how you can book your place.
We can’t wait to see you for the next part of your journey with us.
If you have any questions about the day, you can email [email protected] or visit our live chat.
