Edge Hill’s Knowledge Exchange team brought together healthcare professionals, academics, local authorities, businesses and support organisations to share experiences and inspiration around healthcare innovation and service improvements.
The event aimed to accelerate progress in health and care by fostering cross-pollination and showcasing a range of innovations, from best practice and service enhancements to large-scale transformational projects.

Linda Olubajo, Senior Business Relationship Manager and host for the event, said: “A great deal of important work happens behind the scenes, so it was fantastic to create a platform that showcased the people driving innovation and service improvements.
“One of the key takeaways from the day was that innovation doesn’t always mean starting from scratch—we can learn from each other and adapt proven approaches.
“Events like this are a great way of finding inspiration and making connections.
Thanks to our location in Ormskirk, we were able to bring together people from Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Greater Manchester to share ideas and adopt best practice.”
Attendees engaged in panel sessions, interactive workshops, quick-fire case studies, and dedicated networking, all in a collaborative environment. Speakers shared their experiences and expertise across primary, secondary and social care, as well as paediatric and adult services.
Held at Edge Hill’s Ormskirk campus, the event offered visitors tours of the University’s outstanding facilities, such as the cutting-edge Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre.
