Arts for the Blues was originally designed to help tackle depression in adults in deprived areas of North West England and began in a primary mental health care setting in Manchester.

Arts for the Blues is a creative arts-based group intervention for depression developed by arts therapists, psychologists, artists and researchers at the universities of Edge Hill and Salford in the North West of England.
