As part of Edge Hill University’s continued investment in their campus and facilities, students can now look forward to a brand-new Students’ Union building worth £8.4m.
Edge Hill has recently invested £53.4m into its campus and facilities to benefit current and future students and ensure its cutting-edge research can continue.
Alongside the Students’ Union, the investment includes a new Life Sciences building and on campus accommodation, helping place the university in the Top 2 in the North West for facilities spend (Complete University Guide 2024).
The new SU will be a great addition to Edge Hill’s already impressive campus and will provide students with another outstanding social space to enjoy. With the new building being built with current student’s feedback in mind.
The new Students’ Union will have plenty of flexible spaces for daytime and night-time events. It will also have everything from society rooms to informal open spaces and the technology to create more interactive experiences.
The social spaces aren’t just indoors and will also make the most of the stunning scenery of Edge Hill’s campus with a range of outdoor spaces. There’ll be an outdoor cinema, food markets as well as places to relax.
Edge Hill recognise that socialising is of course a big part of university life, and encourage students to expand their horizons by getting to know people from all walks of life and trying new activities. This facility will provide more opportunities for students to do this.
There will be something for everyone to get involved in at the Students’ Union and the building will act as the social heart of Edge Hill’s campus.
Alongside being a social space, Edge Hill’s Students’ Union provide a range of services to support students. From academic advice, through to money and helping students to find suitable off-campus accommodation.
Edge Hill is proud of the level of support offered to students to help them thrive, and this great work will continue in their new facility.
