The University is one of five in the UK and Ireland to be shortlisted in the Best Moving in Experience category, based on student reviews.
Adrian McGillion, Director of Facilities Management, said: “We are thrilled to be in the running for Best Moving In Experience because the whole Facilities Management team puts so much effort into making sure every student’s time at Edge Hill gets off to the best start possible.
“It’s a real honour to be shortlisted for an award which is voted for by students, it’s a clear sign that our hard work is having a really positive impact.
“We want to make sure their moving in experience is seamless and enjoyable, particularly because for many of them this will be their first time living away from home. We want to reassure them and their supporters that we will look after them while they are here at Edge Hill.”
The Global Student Living Awards (GSLA) are based exclusively on direct feedback from tens of thousands of students about their student accommodation experience; this year responses were received from more than 40,000 students.
The awards ceremony will take place at GSL live in October 2024 in London.
Edge Hill offers a range of different accommodation to suit the needs of students and all first-year students are guaranteed a place in halls so they can have the very best experience. There are also options available for returning students depending on demand.
