Congratulations, you’ve received an offer to study with us and now you’ve been invited to one of our offer holder days. And you might be wondering what they are. To put it in a few words, they’re your chance to experience a day in the life of an Edge Hill student. To learn more about student life at Edge Hill. And to find more information about your chosen subject area. While getting to know your way around our beautiful campus. So what makes an offer holder day worth attending?

Subject taster session

You’ll be invited to an offer holder day once you’ve received an offer to study with us. They’re exclusive for offer holders. And they’re your chance to tailor the day to your subject and really get a taste of what your course will include. From module choices to methods of assessment. Your subject taster session will be the main part of your day. Picture yourself studying as a university student. And get a real experience of what life will be like if you choose to accept your offer.

Student experience fair

On the day, you’ll also have the chance to get to know the University better at our student experience fair. Meet expert support teams and ask any questions you have about the support on offer at Edge Hill. Prepare your questions before you arrive. Or think about them during your visit. Our teams will be happy to help you with anything you want to know.

Campus and accommodation tours

Whether you’ve already seen our beautiful campus and you’re keen for another look, or it’s your first time visiting, you’re going to want to take a tour of our award-winning campus and accommodation. Get to know our students’ favourite spaces to relax, study and socialise as they take you around our picturesque grounds. And if you’re planning to live in on-campus accommodation, you’ll be able to view where you could be living too.

What makes an offer holder day unique?

Unlike other University events, you’ll spend time directly with other students that have received an offer for the same course as you. So you can make friends with other applicants before you start your studies with us. Then when you come to start your course, your transition to university will feel a little easier knowing you’ll see some familiar faces. You’ll also meet your subject department and get to know the tutors that bring the course to life. And it’s not just the tutors. It’s the facilities that surround you that will help to inform your learning. Our expert tutors will explain the kinds of facilities you can expect to make use of during your studies. And you can ask the questions that are most important to you.

Don’t forget, we offer complimentary lunch and refreshments for you and your guests too.

Do I have to attend my offer holder day?

Offer holder days aren’t compulsory to attend. But we really recommend that you join us if you can. You’ll get a true insight into what you can expect while studying your course. And they’re a valuable research tool when making your Firm and Insurance choices. Experience our warm and welcoming atmosphere for yourself. And make your own decision based on your own experiences.

Can I bring someone with me?

Offer holder days are really helpful when it comes to your decision-making process. And so are your friends, family and supporters. You’re more than welcome to bring your supporters along with you. We host an information talk specifically for your guests so they can understand how to support you throughout your university life. The talk usually runs at the same time as your subject taster session so that you can experience your presentation independently. Just like you would when you start university.

If you’ve received an offer from us, we’ll be sending you your invitation via email and/or post. So keep an eye out for those arriving. They’ll tell you where and how you can book your place.

We can’t wait to see you for the next part of your journey with us.

If you have any questions about the day, you can email [email protected] or call us on 01695 657000.
