It’s time for festivities. And we have a lot going on around campus to get you in the festive spirit.
Friday 1 December
Bringing the holidays to your halls. If you live on campus, make sure to mark 1 December in your diary. The Resident Life Team will be delivering your Big Nights In box. It’s a complete Christmas, in a box.
Saturday 2 December
The first weekend of December brings you a wholesome activity. Head to The Hub on Saturday for our Saturday Social. With Christmas music and a movies quiz, kick start December the right way.
And remember the Christmas Ensemble Open Rehearsals are taking place in CE.004 (Creative Edge) between 2-5pm.
Sunday 3 December
Want to get your gifts for loved ones? Or maybe treat yourself? Our Chester Christmas market trip is perfect for whoever you’re buying presents for. We’ll be setting off from Creative Edge at 9.30am, for a Christmas filled day. Remember to book your place on the portal beforehand.
Want to say local? You can access free tickets to the Ormskirk Christmas Frost Fair between 11am-4pm.
Monday 4 December
Student Life’s Learn2Cook gives you a chance to bake some festive bakes. The session takes place in the Food Lab of Faculty of Health Social Care and Medicine between 6-8pm. You can use your new recipe to make treats for your flat mates. Or maybe share them with your family when heading home for the winter break.

Our weekly Get Connected is going on tour this week. With a trip to Southport to see the lights and enjoy bowling. The meeting point is Creative Edge at 5pm.
Tuesday 5 December
The SU is taking over Tuesday. Want to get crafty? Head to the Red Bar between 1.30-4pm for their Christmas Crafternoon.
Wednesday 6 December
Are you ready for Global Cafe with a twist? Enjoy a Christmas quiz night the Hub between 4-6pm to get involved.
Thursday 7 December
Get your Christmas jumpers ready for Christmas Jumper Day. And where best to go in a Christmas jumper? The annual Edge Hill Christmas Markets. The Hub will be a grotto between 10am-2pm. You don’t want to miss it.
The Student Life Team will be taking over the upstairs area. Including a wrapping station so you can get all your gifts wrapped and ready.
Friday 8 December
Residents get ready. It’s the Trafford Centre trip. Another evening to give you the chance to get some gifts or just enjoy the festivities. The meeting point is the Creative Edge foyer at 5.30pm.
Saturday 9 December
This week Saturday Social is here to get you feeling festive. Head to the Hub between 1-3pm.
Sunday 10 December
Spend a crisp Sunday morning on our Walk With Me Christmas scavenger hunt. Head to the Hub at 11am for a hot chocolate before heading out. Want to make it even more festive? Wear a cosy Christmas jumper.
Monday 11 December
Get Connected is themed ‘winter wonderland’. As the end of term gets closer, be sure to squeeze some more festivities in. If you want to get involved, the winter wonderland is happening between 4-6pm in the Hub.
Tuesday 12 December
Cuddling the therapy dogs is always a good idea. But especially as a Christmas treat. The cuddly pups will be waiting for you in Hale Hall between 11am-1pm.
And the funs not over then. The Hub will host the Global Cafe Christmas crafts evening between 4-6pm.
Saturday 23 December
Still around campus over the winter break? Join a seasonal yoga session at The Chapel, Ormskirk, between 9.30-11.30am.
And remember, you can still head to the Student Life Arch each weekday between 11.30am-1pm. Chat to Campus Connectors about anything on your mind.
Commute to campus? Start your wintery mornings each Tuesday and Thursday with our Commuter Breakfasts. Between 8-9am you can enjoy a free breakfast at Creative Edge.
