More than £2m in awards was given out to outstanding students and their success was recognised at a bumper awards ceremony on campus.
Now students and staff are being encouraged to prepare nominations and applications showcasing their determination, commitment, and achievement for the next raft of scholarships.
Lynda Brady, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Experience, said: “Scholarships recognise the fantastic achievements of some of the University’s most talented and inspiring students. Their achievements and ambitions are always humbling.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the next round of nominations and learning about how our students are excelling in their studies as well as outside the University and making a difference.”
Scholarships are worth up to £2,000 and go towards supporting students to reach their full potential. Each year, the University gives out awards to those students who have made valuable contributions to university life, either by excelling academically, raising the profile of Edge Hill in a positive way, promoting equality, motivating others, or by overcoming challenging personal circumstances to achieve.
In total the University has nine different categories of scholarships available, each designed to reward different accomplishments, whether it’s academic achievement, sporting prowess or something exceptional they have done in their lives outside of the University.
Application details for scholarships for prospective students and current students can be found on the website. The closing date for nominations is 15 June.
Alongside one of the most impressive and innovative scholarship packages in the higher education sector, the University operates the Student Opportunity Fund. This exciting initiative contributes financial support to help you make the most of your student experience and take part in career enhancing opportunities.
