A hands-on approach makes learning more engaging and meaningful. Very supportive lecturers have helped build my confidence and kept me motivated through the more challenging parts of the course.

I’m set on paediatrics at the moment but, in four years’ time, I might decide I want to be a diabetes specialist or something else. I want to keep my options open and take all the opportunities I can.

Ellena Briggs, Medicine graduate, 2025

One of the best things about Edge Hill is its unique approach to clinical placements. We’re allocated specific hospitals for the duration of our training, rather than moving to a different site for each rotation. This continuity has had a hugely positive impact on my learning, allowing me to build strong relationships with clinicians, and feel part of a team.
