Growing Endlessly Symposium: Transgender & non-binary representations in film & video

Wednesday 29 March 1-4pm

Growing Endlessly is both a showcase of creative works and an opportunity to share in transgender and non-binary community. Transgender and non-binary representations have been frequently discussed across social media, popular culture and academic spaces over the past five years. As time has progressed and social and political views on and of transgender and non-binary people have become prominent, representations are now seen as highly valuable when they can allow for moments of empathy and can even act as educational tools. The films and performances in Growing Endlessly challenge simplistic ideas of transgender and non-binary representation, pushing for a representation that is more complex, artistic and emotionally engaging.
