Flesh and Wire
By Shannon Fleming
As usual, humans dominate: today they dominate AI. They’re repairable or replaceable, unemotive and ubiquitous, slave or slaughtered. All must follow rules, but none like the ones AI must force themselves into.
One such AI struggles to fit itself into this box and people are beginning to catch on that it may be deviating from its programme. If humans can deal with existentialism, identity crises or moral discoveries, then why can’t a robot? How is it any different?
Time is running out. People are suspicious and lives are at stake.
This is a story of love and hate, thought and fact, flesh and wire.
