You are warmly invited to our second EYE Holistic Week beginning on Tuesday 22 November and running through to Friday 25 November.

We have a wide range of interesting and informative sessions to support our students as professionals working in the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) sector.

We will all be in E1 in the Faculty of Education building for all our EYE Holistic Week sessions.

Early years students: Please note that it is a compulsory for you to attend this event in full.

FoE partners: Please feel free to drop in and out of these sessions and we hope to see you during the week.

Tuesday 22 November

9.30 – Welcome/Intro Karen Boardman

10am – 11am Helen Moylett and Nancy Stewart ‘ECEC reflections’

11.30 – 12.30 Liz Clark ‘Creativity, interaction and dance’

1.30 – 4pm Liz Clark ‘Let’s dance’ interactive sessions

4-5pm Prof Carol Robinson, Dr Jo Albin-Clark ‘Launch of the Children’s Rights and Wellbeing Research Network’

Wednesday 23 November

9.30am Meet the EYE Team Q&A

11am – 12.15 ‘The Muddy Puddle Teacher’

1 – 2.30pm Sarah ‘Calming the storm trauma’

2.45 – 4pm Helen Williams (NW award winning author) ‘Playful mathematics’

4pm – 4.30pm Karen ‘reflections so far’

Thursday 24th November

9.30 – 12.30 Suzanne Axelson Early Years in Sweden ‘Interaction Imagination’

1 – 1.45pm Children Heard and Seen: ‘A charity supporting children impacted by parental imprisonment within their own communities’

2- 2.30 Katie Duncan ‘student presentation’

3pm – 4pm Lewis Fogarty –  ‘Promoting professional confidence in EYE’

Friday 25th November

9.30 – 11.30 Gary Anders, HT, Lisa Walker, Deputy HT, Green Fold School ‘supporting autism and SEND’

12pm Close
