This Carers Week (beginning from 8 June), the Widening Access and Student Success Team are excited to invite students, parents and supporters, and staff to a special live session shining a spotlight on how our institution champions students with caring responsibilities.
The session will explore who student carers are, the unique challenges they navigate, and the wide range of support available from pre entry, throughout their studies, and into progression. We’ll share practical tips and key resources to help our community create a more inclusive, supportive environment.
We’re running the session twice so you can choose the time that works best for you:
- Wednesday 10 June, 5.30pm–7pm (main session plus optional Q&A drop in)
- Thursday 11 June, 12pm–1.30pm (lunchtime delivery with optional Q&A)
If you’re limited on time, you’re welcome to join for the parts you can, or attend just the Q&A to explore specific questions or scenarios.
