The University may take action in response to non-academic misconduct whether or not the misconduct took place on or off campus. This includes, but is not limited to, any misconduct that occurs during off-campus activities, whilst studying at partner organisations, within the local community or online, including via social media.
Non-academic misconduct may be referred to the police if it is potentially of a criminal nature.
In some situations, the University may make a report directly to the police where they have a duty to do so, or in order to safeguard individuals without necessarily gaining the person’s consent.
