Countermovement jumps are routinely used to assess lower limb power within clinical and sporting settings. Clinically countermovement jumps, both uni and bi-lateral variations, help to inform discharge criteria following injury. However, while normative data is available for elite sporting populations this data is sparsely reported for healthy active adults. This study looks to address this key gap by developing a normative dataset for uni- and bi-lateral countermovement jump performance variables in younger, health, active adults. This study is a collaboration between academics at Edge Hill University and the University of Salford, and physiotherapists at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.
