Edge Hill has fantastic connections. I was lucky enough to take part in an eye-opening trip to see how the Chinese healthcare system works. I was fascinated by the differences between a modern hospital Critical Care Unit and a traditional Chinese medicine hospital. In one we saw state-of-the-art intensive care beds, and in the other, bottles of dried baby spiders, seahorses and lizards waiting to be ground up into remedies.

My own experiences with mental health are what brought me to a nursing degree. Having fought my own battles, I want to help others fight theirs.

The fantastic lecturers and their amazing stories, gained from years of experience in midwifery, has been the best part of the degree for me.”
