We’re pleased to offer you a place on our BSc (Hons) Physics course, which is part of our Department of Engineering. When you study Physics at Edge Hill, you’ll develop your critical thinking and problem-solving skills from day one. You’ll enhance your employability prospects by studying advanced physics concepts, from areas such as nuclear physics, particle physics and solid state physics, as well as developing a commercial awareness.
The Tech Hub
Physics is based in our state-of-the-art Tech Hub which offers highly contemporary suites of outstanding facilities. Our modern teaching labs are equipped with a range of industry-standard, test and measurement equipment and leading analytical software MATLAB.

Supporting you
When you become a student here, you’ll be allocated a Personal Tutor. They will be your main source of support in your academic department. They’ll be with you as you progress throughout your degree, supporting you in three areas: professional/career-related support, pastoral support and signposting you to information you need. But they aren’t just there when you need support. They are also there to celebrate your successes, help with planning your progress and much more.
