The Studio as an Instrument

In this session, you’ll be introduced to some of the ideas explored in the first-year ‘Creative Music Technology’ module. Working in Ableton Live, we’ll look at the concept of the studio as an instrument, utilising techniques derived from genres such as hip-hop and electronic dance music to create a musical sketch. The session will give you the opportunity to engage with a practical task and to speak to specialist staff and practitioners who teach on the programme.
