Acuity Insights Assessments – Comprehensive Admissions Assessments
All applicants applying to the MBChB Programme at Edge Hill University are invited to complete Casper as part of a Pilot with NHS England, during the 2023/2024 admissions cycle.
Casper is a standardised, online assessment that measures different competencies and attributes that we believe are important for successful students and graduates of our programme. This assessment is designed to complement the other tools that we use for applicant review and evaluation. We will not use Casper to assess your application for interview or offer this cycle, but hope to see if it will help in the future. In participating in the Casper Pilot, we are trying to further enhance fairness and objectivity in our selection process.

How to prepare for Casper
Going into the test knowing what to expect is the best way to prepare for Casper. Once you register for an Acuity Account, you can find a full 14-scenario sample test containing both the video and typed response sections that you can use to practice as many times as you like. As it is just a practice test, your answers will not be saved or submitted for review or feedback.
