CAT registration
The CAT tools are copyright but available for use, free of charge. To access any of the CAT tools and supporting materials please register using the form below. You will be asked to provide some brief details of your role, organisation, and an email address.
Please let us know which CAT tool you are interested in (CAT [adult carers], CAT-YC [young carers], CAT-S [stroke]). By registering for access to the CAT you are agreeing to the following:
- The CAT tool will only be used as a free, not-for-profit alert;
- You will be contacted by email to invite you to share feedback on the CAT tool and any experience of using it;
- The CAT team and Edge Hill University will be acknowledged in any publications, reports or oral presentations about your use of the CAT.
- You will receive an automated email with a password and the web link to the registered users section of the website. Click on the link and log in to download pdf copies of the CAT and staff guidance.

If you wish to adapt the ‘Next Steps’ section of the CAT tool for your local circumstances please contact the CAT project team who will be happy to discuss the changes and support your team with implementation of the CAT.

Find out how we protect your dataThe contact details of registered users of the Carers’ Alert Thermometer (CAT) website are held by the study team on a secure university network. Only the team will have access to your personal contact details which you have shared with us; these will not be passed to anyone else or the University. The team will only use personal information as needed, to contact you about the CAT and the ongoing evaluation study. You can request the removal of your personal data at any time by contacting [email protected] or Dr Knighting on [email protected].
