Mature discussions and workshopping enable me to explore views on books and social issues, very useful in my academic work, and life in general.

I really enjoy mature discussions and workshopping. They enable me to explore a variety of views on books and social issues, and I find this very useful in my academic work, and life in general.

My lecturers are published authors and work in the publishing world. I’ve gained valuable experience from people in the industry, and connections in publishing.

I hope to do a Masters by Research (MRes) in neurodivergence in young adult fiction. After that, hopefully a PGCE in order to become a secondary school teacher.

I was awarded a scholarship for my work with young people. The money will help fund trips with the children so I can assist in giving them more adventures and take time out of my year to dedicate to them. And hopefully my award will encourage others to get more involved with Scouting.

I was a young leader at a local scout group from the age of 14 to 17. I gained the knowledge of things such as my first aid qualification and learning how to be inclusive in Scouting activities. Achieving my young leader belt was a huge achievement as it took a lot of time and effort.

The Edge Hill community is best things about student life here. There’s always a friendly face to turn to, and there are plenty of people there to help.
