Biography

Current roles: PGCE Primary Placement Quality Assurance Lead, ensuring quality learning opportunities for our students across the programme. Associate Teaching and Learning Fellow and member of the university academic board that ensures academic integrity and effectiveness. Senior Lecturer in Primary Mathematics teaching across the faculty to enhance teaching and learning in both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. As part of the mathematics team, analysed and identified areas for improvement throughout the Developmental Phase for the accreditation process. Link Tutor to support students and mentors during professional practice. Previous English as an Additonal Language (EAL) Strand lead with repsonsibility for the curriculum content and EAL delivery throughout the undergraduate and postgraduate programme in addition to the CPD of staff.

Prior to joining the team, I spent a number of years working in primary schools and have experience in all year groups from EYFS to Year 6. I have previously undertaken the role of Science Subject Leader, Mathematics Subject Leader, Student Mentor, Reading Lead, EYFS Lead, Key Stage 1 Lead and Assistant Headteacher and I am a qualified LSA.
