As a medical student I'm always looking for ways to improve my CV & professional development, so I was very excited when my application got accepted. During the internship I had a chance to work on a couple of papers, both systematic reviews. I was mainly involved in the screening process, which was my favourite part.

I chose to apply for this internship because I like to say yes to any opportunity that comes my way! I find it opens many doors for me, and I thought this internship would increase my knowledge & research skills, which it did. As a medical student I’m always looking for ways to improve my CV & professional development, so I was very excited when my application got accepted. During the internship I had chance to work on a couple of papers, both systematic reviews. I was mainly involved in the screening process, which was my favourite part. Furthermore, I was involved in the initial article searches, full text analysis, final paper write-up and more! I am so happy I applied for this internship! I have a presentation to make for a RAS (Research Academic Society) event in January, and because I won an award for my internship, in March I’ll be going to parliament to present my research poster. I really enjoyed this opportunity; even though my internship has finished, I’ve decided to continue my work on the papers alongside medical school.
