Biography
Dr Paul Ellison is a Senior Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Psychology at the Department of Sport and Physical Activity at Edge Hill University, England. His main research areas are Skill Acquisition and Visual Perception and Action in Sport, focussing on how information is perceived by the human visual system and how it is employed to support actions in a sporting context.
He is a member of the Applied Performance Psychology Group at Edge Hill. The primary research areas are:
· Skill Aquisition
· Exercise Psychology
· Sport Psychology
· Life Skills Development
Paul is Module Leader for Fundamental Sport and Exercise Psychology and Skill Acquisition in Sport at the University. From an applied perspective he has worked with a range of teams providing Sport Science support, notably within English Premiership Football; Women’s International U-19 Football; English Division 2 Football; GB Equestrian Development Team; GB Taekwondo Team; Engage Super League (Rugby League); Maccabi GB Futsal Team; and Skill Acquisition support for a local table tennis club.
