Senior Lecturer in Business & Management

Business School

Dr Deborah Callaghan joined Edge Hill University in 2022 as a senior lecturer and programme leader of undergraduate BSc (Hons) programmes in Business & Management, Business & Management plus pathways in marketing, accounting and finance and economics and International Business. She has a particular interest in workplace bullying and harrassment. Her PhD examined the impact of the enactment of anti-bullying interventions in a UK police force. Her research interests include the mismatch between policy and practice and espoused and enacted practice in workplace contexts. Her recent work has examined the impact of organisational spin on employee aspiration;  knowledge transfer in multinational enterprises, corporate citizenship in family-owned businesses, and entrepreneurial marketing responses in biased consumer markets. The central focus of her research interest is concerned with policy and practice gaps and how they impact on the employer/employee relationship at work.
