Profile

Biography

Dr. Amee Yostrakul joined Edge Hill University in 2017 as a Lecturer in Business and Management. Prior to this, she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Leicester in 2012-2016, where she also received her Ph.D. She is a passionate educator and is working towards a sustainble future for businesses. Her research focuses on two broad strands: 1) The role of social capital and business model innovation in the context of social and independent businesses; 2) The impact of design thinking and co-creation on students’ employability.  

Prior to commencing her academic career, Amee has worked in both the public and private sector in the UK and in Thailand. She joined a multinational consultancy firm after receiving her first degree and worked for a UK leading Fund Management firm in Scotland for 3 years, before taking up a role with a local Council authority.
