Join us for a week of activities, conversations and practical ideas at the EHU Sustainability Fair, taking place Monday 16 to Friday 20 November 2026 in the Students’ Union building.

Whether you’re already passionate about sustainability or simply curious about what you can do, the Fair is a chance to explore sustainability in a fun, practical and accessible way.

Across the week, we’ll be bringing together students, staff and external organisations for a range of stalls, activities, workshops and opportunities to get involved, exploring topics including:

  • Climate action and Net Zero
  • Sustainable food
  • Waste and resource use
  • Sustainable travel

Drop in, have a chat, take part in an activity and discover ideas that can help you make sustainability part of everyday life.

Everyone is welcome, so come along and see what’s happening!

What’s on?

Monday 16 November – Climate action

Find out more about waste and recycling with Biffa, make a waste-reduction pledge, discover EHU’s Stop the Block campaign and browse second-hand items from Queenscourt Hospice. West Lancashire Borough Council’s SDG game also runs from 12–1pm.

Wednesday 18 November – Sustainable infrastructure, travel and careers
Explore green infrastructure and energy, and try our energy-themed How Bad Are Bananas? activity. Join GoVelo for a guided cycle ride (advance booking required), discover careers in the renewable and electrotechnical sector, and take part in activities from Gresham, Stearn and West Lancashire Borough Council.

Thursday 19 November – Biodiversity and climate
Discover EHU’s biodiversity work and iNaturalist citizen science project, try the Stop the Block quiz, explore sustainable careers, meet Tackling the Blues and attend The People’s Emergency Briefing on the climate emergency.

Friday 20 November – Sharing, skills and sustainability
Visit the Coppafeel Society’s myth-busting stall and test your sustainability knowledge with Lyreco. You can also experience Telling Stories With, Not For, a sonic installation drawing on the words of Black Caribbean boys to explore experiences of literature, identity, belonging and education.
