Student Recruitment

A prospective postgraduate student and a member of staff during an Open Day one-to-one session

Looking to train to become a teacher and inspire the next generation in the classroom? Or perhaps you’re seeking a career in the education sector, or already working in the field and looking to develop your practice and enhance your expertise?

Please note that this event is focused on postgraduate programmes, for those who already have a university degree at undergraduate level and are looking to undertake an additional university qualification. If you do not yet have a university degree and would like to explore teacher training or education courses, you can book your place on one of our Open Days instead.

Our open evenings provide a fantastic opportunity to find out more about the following programmes:

  • PGCEs across the Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education and Skills age phases
  • MA Education
  • MA Education and Mental Health
  • MA Early Years Education
  • MA Educational Leadership
  • MA Special Educational Needs, Disabilities and Inclusion
  • PGCert Specialist Teaching and Assessment for Literacy-based Difficulties (Dyslexia), including the standalone module

Please note that some of our PGCEs have now closed for entry in September 2026. Where this is the case, it will be indicated on individual coursepages. If your course of interest has closed to applications, we would recommend attending the open evening to look ahead to entry in September 2027.

Join us on campus anytime between 3pm and 6 pm to:

  • Speak to academic experts from our Faculty of Education, recently awarded Outstanding by Ofsted across all initial teacher training age phases
  • Chat to representatives from our student support teams and get advice from Admissions about entry requirements and how to apply
  • Find out about PGCE placements from our Partnerships team
