What is wellbeing? And can it be taught?

Dr Farrell will discuss her research with children, teachers, and families in Ireland and explore explores different understandings of well-being, how it came to occupy such a prominent place in the curriculum, and the assumptions behind efforts to teach it. It asks what schools can offer through lessons, relationships and the everyday conditions in which pupils learn and grow.
