Community-led Monitoring: Transforming Accountability, Evaluation and Advocacy in Health Services
This online webinar session will introduce participants to Community-led Monitoring (CLM) as a community-led, data-driven approach to strengthening accountability, equity and responsiveness in health services. Drawing on International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC) CLM model and real-world implementation experience, the session will explore how communities identify service barriers, generate credible evidence, engage decision-makers and use advocacy to drive practical improvements in health systems.
Who is the session for?
This introductory webinar is suitable for healthcare professionals, researchers, evaluators and educators interested in evaluating and improving healthcare services. No previous knowledge or experience of Community-led Monitoring (CLM) is required.
What will you learn?
By the end of the Webinar session, participants will understand the core principles of Community-led Monitoring (CLM) and how it differs from traditional approaches to community consultation, service-user feedback and programme evaluation. They will explore ITPC’s four-step CLM model and examine how qualitative and quantitative data can identify barriers to health service access, quality and equity. Participants will also consider how CLM evidence can inform stakeholder engagement, support collaborative solution development and strengthen evidence-based advocacy, while critically reflecting on the strengths, limitations and practical considerations of adapting CLM principles across diverse health and social care contexts.
