Child, Family and Community Centred Research: Participation, Rights and Innovative Methods
Join the iCARE Research Centre for an in-person forum bringing together researchers, community partners and professionals who care about children, families and pregnant women. It’s a chance to hear about our latest research, share ideas and explore future collaborations.
What we’ll cover
iCARE research aims to improve the lives of children, young people and families. The forum will highlight work on:
- Improving child literacies
- Improving physical health, development and wellbeing of children through physical activity
- Improving the lives of children with complex care needs and disabilities
- Improving children’s mental health and wellbeing
- Improving outcomes for children and young people in receipt of specialist social work and/or education services.
- Improving maternal health and well-being
We will also share the child-centred methods we use, our experience of involving the public and communities in shaping research, and innovative ways of sharing research findings.
Who is it for?
This event is relevant to early and mid-career researchers, academics, community partners, health, education and social care professionals, local authority colleagues, voluntary and community sector organisations, and anyone interested in child, family and maternity centred care.
A programme will be circulated in due course.
