Guidance for reducing energy use and emissions from digital infrastructure

This guidance outlines how Edge Hill staff and students can reduce energy use and carbon emissions from digital infrastructure, including devices, networks, servers, software, data storage, communications and online services. It also provides pratical steps to helps users monitor and reduce their digital impact.

It was created in the 2025/26 academic year and will be reviewed regularly for updates by the Head of Sustainability.
