Tracey works as a Maths Adviser within the Cambridgeshire Maths Team, part of the Schools Intervention Service at Cambridgeshire County Council. She provides CPD, training, and support to primary schools across Cambridgeshire, in neighbouring areas, and nationally. She also works with secondary schools. She delivers face-to-face training to colleagues in person at training venues across the county, travels to schools for on-site visits, or meets virtually using a variety of online video conference platforms.

Tracey has over 15 years of experience teaching and leading maths within a range of primary and secondary schools before becoming a Maths Adviser for Cambridgeshire County Council in 2015. Tracey has been an accredited Every Child Counts trainer with Edge Hill University since 2016 and delivers maths intervention training in Becoming 1stClass@Number, 1stClass@Number (both 1 and 2), and Success@Arithmetic (both Number Sense and Calculation). She particularly enjoys being part of a national network of trainers delivering high-quality maths interventions where the impact is evident immediately.

In her current role within Cambridgeshire Maths Team she delivers other maths training and CPD, creates resources, speaks at conferences and works in schools to promote a passion for maths, improve outcomes and develop best practice. Tracey is also an NCETM professional development lead and has completed the Primary Mathematics Specialist Teacher (MaST) programme in addition to having held a variety of governance roles within schools.
