A group of students are attending a lecture in a lecture theatre.

1st Annual Safeguarding Conference for Edge Hill Students – a multi-agency approach.
The conference is designed to examine multi-agency approaches and how our professional trainees can address children’s and vulnerable adult needs through a broader understanding of issues, some of which are specific to our region.

Aims and outcomes

  • To examine the specific challenges present in the region, in particular criminal exploitation and country lines, gangs and violence.
  • Building on existing training within and extra-curricular, this conference will provide an opportunity to consider key safeguarding messages from a range of experts in safeguarding and provide an opportunity for trainee professionals to reflect on their own practice.

Participants can pick one workshop in the morning and one in the afternoon.
