Our offer holder day programme gives you a glimpse at what happens at an Edge Hill University offer holder day. It provides you with everything you need to know about Edge Hill, the campus, and your chosen course. From subject presentations, accommodation and campus tours to our student experience and support fair.

Information on the day

Information desks are available in each building with staff on hand to answer any questions.

Ask us

Our staff and current students will be present on campus to direct you and answer any questions about student life and studying at Edge Hill University. Spot them in bright purple tabards and purple polo shirts.

Please be aware that events may be filmed and photographed for Edge Hill University use. If you have any concerns please speak to a member of staff at an Information Point or in Registration. Information in this guide is subject to change.

Parents and Supporters’ Talk

This session provides parents and supporters with key information regarding fees and finance, student accommodation and supporting your applicant through the UCAS process and their transition to University.

Tours of campus and facilities

With everything in one place, from halls of residence and top facilities to sustainable teaching spaces and landscaped grounds, you’ll agree the £300m we’ve invested over the last decade has been put to good use. But don’t take our word for it, take a campus tour and see for yourself.

Tours of all our departments and facilities are available on request. Please speak to members of staff at the helpdesks in each building.

Campus tours

Guided tour led by current students. All tour routes are fully accessible.
Campus tours take approximately 45 minutes.

Ormskirk tours

A guided tour around our local town Ormskirk. All tours take approximately 1 hour. Departing from the Business School at 20 minutes past the hour.

Catalyst tours

The Catalyst building has everything you need for your studies, it’s the University library and a one-stop-shop for student support.

Subject presentation timetable

Subject presentations are your opportunity to learn more about your subject area and meet staff and current students. Most subject hold one to one drop in session throughout the day. The full timetable is available to view online.

Make sure you get the most out of your visit. Use the list below and the planner on the next page to schedule your day.

Register your attendance in the Main Building and collect your Edge Hill bag.

Ask your guest(s) to attend the Parents and Supporters’ Session.

Attend your Subject Taster Session or speak one-to-one with a tutor to find out more about your subject.

Visit the Student Experience Fair in the Hub. Find out about our sports facilities and memberships, ways to find part-time work, learning a language and more.

View different types of accommodation available with a self-guided tour.

Tour our beautiful campus with a current student and visit our sunken rose garden just outside the Arts Centre; the Roots lakeside café and picnic area; and the small, but perfectly formed, beach by Chancellors Court.

Take a tour of the Catalyst Building, home to the Library, Learning Services, Student Services and Careers.

Take a break in one of our many on-campus cafes and eateries.

Speak to the Inclusion or SpLD teams at the Student Experience Fair in the Hub if you have any additional support needs.

Get your Finance questions answered in the Hub with a visit to our expert, friendly, Finance and Money Advice teams.
