Shaping my future
Saffron completed a placement as a Community Sport and Health Officer as she wanted to gain experience in her chosen career pathway within the Health and Social Care sector.

Working on the Tackling the Blues programme, Saffron’s responsibilities included:

  • teaching sessions
  • observing partnerships
  • working towards company goals
  • liaising with the deputy CEO
  • investigating the impact of Covid-19 on care home staff and residents in the community.

Saffron applied knowledge and skills from her degree whilst on placement to ensure she made the most of every opportunity.

Saffron’s placement helped her to realise that she wants to secure a career within Health and Social Care.

“Saffron has a positive impact on the programme. Her skilled ability to adapt the sessions to different needs of the children and young people, as well as her enthusiasm ensured the sessions were always fun and engaging.”
