Profile
Biography
The Youth Sport Trust is the UK’s leading children’s charity for improving the education and development of every child through play and sport. We equip educators and empower young people to create a future where every child enjoys the life-changing benefits of play and sport with a particular emphasis on improving their physical, mental and social health and wellbeing.
As part of my role I am committed to ensuring we embed and sustain the evidence of what works in the education system, move from a programme led approach to a system led approach, and collaborate with like-minded organisations and individuals who are using sport and physical activity to improve the lives of children and young people. I would want to Centre and its work to focus the minds of leaders across sport, health and education and create a joined-up approach to policy making, investment and delivery.
The Centre can support us by:
- Supporting and translating the evidence of what works
- Supporting the political influencing and system change approaches
- Bring together organisations as a unified voice
