Biography

Dr. Amee Yostrakul is a Senior Lecturer in Management at Edge Hill University, where she has been teaching since 2017. She completed her PhD at the University of Leicester, where she also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2012 to 2016.

She is a dedicated educator with a strong commitment to preparing students for an evolving business landscape. Her teaching integrates research-led insights with practical application, particularly through the use of design thinking and co-creation approaches to enhance student engagement and employability.

Her research focuses on two main areas: the role of social capital and business model innovation in social and independent businesses, and the impact of design thinking and co-creation on student outcomes.

Before joining academia, Amee gained professional experience in both the public and private sectors in the UK and Thailand. She began her career in a multinational consultancy firm, followed by a role in a leading UK fund management firm in Scotland. She later worked within a local council authority, bringing valuable real-world insight into her teaching and research.
